Pelletizer Machine Supplier

Pelletizer Machine Supplier in India | Strand & Die-Face Pelletizing Lines

Pelletizer Machine Supplier

As a specialist pelletizer machine supplier in India, we provide complete pelletizing solutions for plastics recycling and compounding—covering strand pelletizers, hot die-face (die head) cutters, and underwater pelletizing systems. Our engineering focus is on uniform granule size, low dust, and stable output across PP, PE, PET, PS, ABS, PA and filled masterbatches. Evaluate throughput (kg/hr), MFI window, water management, filtration levels, and downstream cooling/drying to select the right configuration. Explore equipment details and service coverage on hrplasticindia.com.

Working Principle & Process Flow of Pelletizers

Pelletizing converts molten polymer into consistent, free-flowing granules. After melt filtration and pressure stabilization, strands or melt droplets are cut using a rotary knife system. Cooling (air/water), dewatering/centrifuging, and drying follow, after which pellets are screened and conveyed to storage. Recipe control maintains knife pressure, cutter speed, and pellet length. Die-face systems cut at the die for sticky/low-MFI melts; underwater pelletizers pair submersed cutting with in-line water loop and centrifugal dryers for premium sphericity.

Types of Pelletizer Machines We Supply

  • Strand Pelletizer – Extruded strands pass through water bath, air knife, and rotary cutter to produce cylindrical pellets (typ. 2–4 mm); ideal for PP/PE, PS, ABS, and basic masterbatch.
  • Hot Die-Face (Die Head) Cutter – Knives mounted at the die plate; pellets are cut while melt is hot and transported via air/water. Suits sticky melts and soft grades; compact footprint.
  • Underwater Pelletizer – Submerged cutting chamber with process water loop and centrifugal dryer for glossy, near-spherical pellets; best for high-throughput compounding and fine filtration lines.
  • Micro/Precision Pelletizers – Tight length control for additives and color masterbatch with narrow PSD, reduced dust, and improved dosing performance.
  • Auxiliaries – Water bath, air knife, pellet dryer, vibrating classifier, cyclone/collection bins, and fines extraction to stabilize quality and bulk density.

Key Features & Specifications

  • Capacity options from 150–1500+ kg/hr with documented kWh/kg for OPEX benchmarking.
  • Hardened rotary knives, adjustable bed knives, and quick-set gap for consistent pellet length and lower fines.
  • Automatic screen changers, vacuum degassing, and multi-zone heating to deliver clean melt and stable pressure.
  • Water-loop design with chiller integration, level sensors, and stainless-steel wetted parts for hygiene and longevity.
  • PLC–SCADA recipe control, alarm logs, and remote diagnostics; pellet length control via cutter RPM linkage.
  • Safety interlocks, guards, and LOTO points; CE-oriented design practices and MOC traceability.

Applications of Pelletizer Machines

  • Recycling of LDPE/LLDPE films, HDPE blow moulding scrap, PP injection waste into uniform reprocessed granules.
  • Masterbatch and additive compounding where dosing accuracy needs tight pellet length distribution and low dust.
  • PET bottle flake reprocessing (with IV control) for fibre/strap grades using underwater/strand pelletizing trains.
  • Engineering polymers (ABS, PA, PBT, HIPS) and filled compounds (CaCO3, talc, glass) with robust knife assemblies.

Benefits of Partnering with a Pelletizer Machine Supplier

  • Stable pellet quality—narrow size distribution, low angel hair, and minimal fines—improving downstream feeding and product consistency.
  • Higher productivity via quick knife change, auto screen change, and recipe presets that cut changeover time.
  • Lower operating costs through energy-efficient drives, optimized water management, and durable wear parts.
  • Compliance support (EPR/ESG) with production logs, traceability, and safety documentation for audits.

Manufacturers & Supply Scope

We deliver end-to-end pelletizing lines: extruder, filtration, cutter, water/air cooling, drying, classification, and conveying. Standard scope includes layout drawings, installation & commissioning, operator training, and spares kit. Service coverage spans Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Coimbatore, and Hyderabad with remote diagnostics. Options include stainless contact parts, underwater loop skids, fines extraction, anti-oxidant dosing, and SCADA integration for batch reporting.

Maintenance & Safety Tips

  • Inspect knives and die plate before each shift; maintain correct knife pressure and alignment to prevent tails/fuzz.
  • Monitor melt pressure and temperature; keep screen packs within recommended ΔP to avoid pellet size drift.
  • Maintain water loop—check temperature, flow, and contamination; clean strainers and replace water routinely.
  • Calibrate cutter RPM vs. line speed for target pellet length; validate with sieve analysis weekly.
  • Follow LOTO, guards closed, and emergency-stop checks; stock critical spares (knives, heaters, thermocouples, seals).

FAQs – Pelletizer Machine Supplier

1. Which pelletizer is best for film recycling—strand, die-face, or underwater? +
For most LDPE/LLDPE films, strand pelletizers are cost-effective and reliable. For sticky/soft grades or when you need compact footprint, hot die-face works well. Underwater pelletizers suit high-throughput compounding and premium pellet shape.
2. How do I size the water loop for underwater pelletizing? +
Base flow and heat load on throughput and melt temperature. Include filtration, heat exchanger/chiller capacity, level/temperature sensors, and a centrifugal dryer sized for peak kg/hr to ensure dry, glossy pellets.
3. What influences pellet length and dust generation? +
Knife sharpness, cutter RPM, strand speed, melt viscosity, and knife-to-bed gap are primary. Maintain proper cooling and keep screen packs clean to avoid pressure spikes and fuzz.
4. Can one line handle multiple polymers and MFI ranges? +
Yes, with recipe control, quick-change knives, adaptable die plates, and appropriate filtration. For frequent grade changes, plan separate screen packs and cleaning SOPs to minimize contamination.
5. What documents should I request with supply? +
P&ID, GA layout, electrical SLD, FAT reports, O&M manuals, spares list, safety and LOTO procedures, and performance guarantees for throughput, pellet size distribution, and fines content.
